(Frankfurt / Main, April 23, 2019) This is what winners look like: Daniel Kretschamen (kneeling) already wanted to be a cook as a chef. Now he is close to his dream goal: complete his training as a chef and climb the career ladder further in his apprenticeship, the Frankfurt Top Hotel Westin Grand. Hotel careers can be so beautiful!

An important milestone in his career: Daniel has now achieved the very decent third place at the Hessian youth championships in the catering trade - behind Yannick Trischberger (Hilton Frankfurt Airport & Hilton Garden Inn) and Max Wagner (Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch).

Danil says sentences as if set in stone: “As a child I always wanted to be a cook. Despite all the challenges, I enjoy cooking and fill it up every day anew. The daily change makes the job so interesting for me and I can fully express my creativity. Even as an apprentice, my colleagues involve me in the processes and decisions and I feel part of the team. ”His goal is to join a shortened HoFa apprenticeship and thus to keep all ways open in the hotel industry.

The Westin Grand Frankfurt guarantees all trainees permanent employment after the exam. In addition to sound training, the Westin Grand Frankfurt offers young employees other attractive advantages: free time on vocational school days, extra vacation days and additional specialist training such as digitization, wine and king training. In addition, the best apprentices in their 2nd year of apprenticeship have the opportunity to take part in a two-week hotel exchange in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as in the Marriott apprentice conference with career workshops and seminars.
