Potsdam, October 29, 2018 - On the evening of November 14, the best hotels from the Certified family will once again be honored in the Kongresshotel Potsdam. The customer voting for the categories of the most popular Certified Hotels has ended, the votes have been counted, trophies and certificates have been ordered. No sign of "landslides", but new faces will be on the podium in 2018. This is how voting went: selections were made from all of the more than 300 certified houses in the business, conference, green hotel and serviced apartments sectors.

Certified Star Award 2018

In the business hotel area, bed hygiene and overall impression were evaluated, in conference hotel the conference area and event management, in green hotel the aspect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as well as communication, and in serviced apartments, equipment and services. Those who did particularly well here ended up on the nomination list. There were 25 names per category and in order to also offer the smaller hotels a chance, a distinction was again made between "up to 150 rooms" and "from 151 rooms".

A meaningful evaluation basis: Over 2,500 valid votes!
Customers, guests and contract partners were then able to choose the favorites from the 25 nominated houses in each category. Voting was possible from early July to September 30, 2018. 2,563 valid votes were cast. In addition to the most popular hotels, the best are also awarded. The judgment of the certified examiner then counts here. These are exclusively specialists who work full-time as travel and event managers in companies such as Schott, Beiersdorf, DZ Bank, ZF Friedrichshafen or Ernst + Young. The hotels that rank among the top three in their category also receive a Certified Star Award in Potsdam

In addition to the award ceremony, there is a two-day summit at which the affiliated partners of the quality cooperation, as well as interested hoteliers and industry representatives, can find out and exchange information. This year, topics such as skills shortages, digital guest journeys, event controlling, the consequences of the GDPR and the typology of the guests are exciting focal points.

The Certified Star Award annually recognizes and honors the most recognized and best hospitality providers. The certified system is based exclusively on the wishes and requirements of users, especially frequent travelers, business travelers, conference and event participants and organizers.
