Germany's first hacker school launches
APRIL PRANK
Leipzig / Germany, 01 April 2021 - Germany's first hacker school starts its online operation today. The students will be trained step by step and with practical exercises as so-called white hat hackers. After about a year of intensive study, they are to prove their knowledge in a three-month internship under the supervision of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The offer is aimed specifically at career changers from distressed sectors such as gastronomy, hotels, tourism and the event industry.
"We want to further increase digital knowledge and skills in Germany and introduce our junior staff to the world's elite in the hacking scene," the headmaster, who, like all the other hacking teachers, does not want to be named or shown, let it be known. The employment opportunities after successful attendance at the Hacker School of Germany - the beta title of the new educational institution - are promising: interest in the students' data from federal authorities such as the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the BSI as well as from the IT industry is great.
With the new school year - starting in summer - the Hacker School of Germany will also offer face-to-face classes on its campus in Leipzig's trendy creative district of Plagwitz. "Hackers are also very interested in social life," says the headmaster. The Hacker School of Germany is financed by a German IT founder who is said to already own a similar institution. Applications are open to all aspiring hackers, who have to pass a comprehensive entrance exam; basic IT skills as well as in-depth knowledge of digital history, web development and data management, among other things, are expected. By the way, the Hacker School of Germany is still looking for teachers and tutors as career changers: WebDev students from other private universities can earn some extra bitcoin this way.
